Successful Golf Outing Benefits LCHFH

Harvey Lambright tees off. Winning team: West, S. Hartman, Key, and E.Hartman

Lewis and Lambright Real Estate Agency sponsored a golf outing in May to benefit our local

affiliate. $1,728.00 was raised from entry fees and hole sponsorships with another $382.00 contributed that day by winners donating their cash prizes back to Habitat, from the tips the “soda girls” received, and from the sale extra raffle tickets. Many local businesses donated gift certificates and prizes to the event in addition to the cash prizes Lewis and Lambright contributed.

Winning by tie breaker, the team of Rob West, Scott Hartman, Dean Key, and Eric Hartman came in with a score of 60. The other low-scoring team included Chad Tschannan, Andrew Demara, Shannon Dillon, and Andy Peachey. Winner of the longest drive was Andrew Demara with a drive of 282 yards, closest to the pin--Ralph Ackerman, second closest to the pin--Meredith Cameron, and longest putt (18')--Jody Traster.

		Family, friends, and members of LaGrange County Habitat for Humanity met Saturday morning, May 17, at the home of April Smith, located north of LaGrange to dedicate the new home for the family. Karen Biberstein, grandmother of the home owner, read the greeting and the litany of dedication. Mont Arnold, executive director of LCHFH, led the opening prayer and presented the Bible to the homeowner. The scripture, Ephesians 3:14-21, was read by Laura Hartman, family support advisor, who also presented a children’s Bible to the family. ____________________________________________________________________
